Dr. Ryland Weum, DC (Best Chiropractor Helena, MT)
I come from a long line of chiropractors, with both sides of my family boasting three generations of practitioners. Born and raised in Minnesota as the youngest of three siblings, I spent my formative years in Arkansas.
My educational journey commenced at North Dakota State, where I laid the groundwork for my future career. I then pursued my passion for Biology at the University of Arkansas, earning my degree. Subsequently, I was admitted to the prestigious Chiropractic Program at Parker University in Dallas, Texas, where I obtained my doctorate. During my tenure at Parker University, I also obtained two additional bachelor's degrees, one in Anatomy and another in Health & Wellness. At Parker University, the emphasis on patient-centered chiropractic resonated with me, and I excelled in providing compassionate care as my primary technique.
Following in the footsteps of my family's legacy, I have chosen to establish my chiropractic practice in Montana, drawn by my profound appreciation for the great outdoors. As an avid enthusiast of hunting, fishing, and wakeboarding, I am rarely without my loyal four-legged companion, Coulee. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to meet each of you and contribute as a catalyst to your journey toward optimal health and wellness.

The spinal cord serves as the communication highway between your brain and the rest of your body, transmitting vital information. However, if a vertebra in your spine is misaligned, it can exert pressure on nerves, disrupting the smooth flow of information. This can compromise your nervous system, which in turn may impact your immune system, leading to potential malfunctions.
Chiropractors are specialized in treating and safeguarding the nervous system by alleviating nerve pressure. This allows your body to function optimally, unleashing its full potential. If you are struggling with back or neck pain, chiropractic care could be a highly effective and safe treatment option for conditions involving the spine and discs.
Chiropractic Explained
Intervertebral discs, often compared to marshmallow pads, are located between the vertebrae of the spine. While these discs are durable, they are susceptible to damage. Not only do they facilitate spinal movement, but they also provide essential space for nerves to pass through. Additionally, these discs act as shock absorbers, capable of expanding and compressing with movement.
However, when the discs start to degenerate, the spine can lose mobility and may even fuse together. Misalignment of the spine can further exacerbate this issue, potentially causing the discs to bulge, herniate, or even rupture. Age-related factors can also weaken and dehydrate the discs, contributing to the problem.
What Are the benefits of chiropractic care?
Chiropractic adjustments offer a range of benefits, including relief from migraines and neck-related headaches, improved posture, reduced pain and increased range of motion in the spine and other joints, alleviation of symptoms from chronic conditions like osteoarthritis, and effective treatment for minor neck or spine injuries, such as whiplash.
